Obama signs bill authorizing indefinite detention of American citizens

Congressional ‘Super Committee’ Fails to Reach Deficit Reduction Deal

  Congress formed the Super Committee in the eleventh-hour of deficit reduction talks last summer, in the hopes that the twelve-member panel would come to the agreement that congressional leaders had failed to reach.
